Are the tools really free?

Yes. Every tool is free and works without an account. An optional free account adds memory: saved scenarios, invoice numbering, letters and the penalty register. Nothing here requires payment.

Do I need an account?

No, with one exception: the PCN register needs an account because its whole purpose is remembering things between visits. Everything else runs without signing in.

About accounts

Is any of this legal, tax or financial advice?

No. The tools and guides provide general information built from operational experience and verified public sources. They do not guarantee outcomes and are not a substitute for a solicitor or accountant where a situation needs one.

What happens to the numbers I type into a calculator?

Nothing. Calculations run entirely in your browser; what you enter is not stored or sent anywhere. If you sign in and choose to save a scenario, that saved copy lives in your account and you can delete it at any time.

Why is there no cookie banner?

Because there is nothing to consent to. Visitors get no cookies, no tracking and no third-party scripts, as verified by technical audit. Signing in stores strictly necessary authentication tokens only, which do not require a banner.

Is my ticket a council penalty or a private parking charge?

Look at the top of the notice: a Penalty Charge Notice from a council or TfL is a statutory penalty; a Parking Charge Notice naming a company is a contractual claim. They behave completely differently, and the response deadlines differ.

Can Wentworth Ridge handle my appeal for me?

The appeal assistant structures the facts you provide into a draft letter for you to check, adapt and submit in your own name; it does not determine whether you have a valid ground and we do not provide regulated legal representation. For complex or high-value situations, an advisory session can look at the whole picture.

I am on the VAT flat rate scheme. Do I still charge 20%?

Yes. The flat rate scheme changes what you pay HMRC, not what you charge your client. Invoices from a VAT-registered business show 20% regardless of scheme.

How are the templates different from legal documents?

They are operational aids drawn from depot practice: checklists, records and statements that prevent disputes. They are not professionally drafted legal documents, and each one says so. Adapt them to your operation.

How do I delete my account and everything in it?

From your account page, in one step. Deletion removes the account and saved content from our active systems immediately; limited copies may remain in protected backups until they expire. We also delete accounts unused for 24 months, after a warning email.

Still stuck?

If the tools and guides have not answered it, ask a person. Enquiries are read and answered by someone who has run the operation you are describing.
